LineageOS: The Future of Custom Rom?

source: http://lineageos.org/Yes-this-is-us/ Hello Internet, There was quite a turmoil in the custom ROM realm in the past couple of months, the torch bearer of the custom ROM community " Cynogen -OS" from 'cynogen inc' was officially closed, the company was founded on the philosophy of making android ROM such that 'it will be like bullet right in the google's head !!!" but  as it turns out the company has to shut down due to some unfortunate reason, however for custom ROM enthusiastic there is still hope left,as you can see in the image, this is taken from lineage os site, you can see that cynogen has transformed itself in to a new os named lineage os, which also includes original cynogen co-founder, from his statement it is clear that the ROM's going to in existence for quite more time now, and it seems obvious also because that is what is at the core at open source, where large community builds and maintains the software, it can not be

Budget smartphone market: have we reached saturation?

Hello internet, In the last few years we have seen tremendous growth and competition in the budget smartphone market, lots of companies are in cut-throat competition with each other to pack most powerful features in the budget price range. in the india we have several players like xiomi,lenovo,huawei,honor,motorola ans some home grown vendors like micromax,lava,karbonn including android one platform from google. if we look at the budget price here in india is around $100. in this price range most of the smartphones are falling, they pack almost similar kind of specs, xiaomi was the pioneer and leader in providing mind-blowing specs at low price as they usually sell their phone by keeping the margin on each phone lower then others but they  make up the monetory value by selling the devices in higher volume. but from the past few months it seems like the price barrier is fixed at $100, meaning they are lauching new phones at the same price range by changing some specs and givin
